Maybe it was cause I hadn’t driven many cars, but I thought the E46 325xi I drove was pretty great.

I’m pretty sure the front shocks are shot on mine so that doesn’t help, t he brakes are meh, window regulators are broken, headliner is falling out. It's got tons of little shit wrong that makes it a chore to drive. I'm spoiled with the mustang.

Ah, the one I drove was very well taken care of, plus this was wither 2010 or 2011, and it was a 2003, so it was only a 7-8 year old car at the time.

Mine is also a 2001 and had been neglected for years before I got it, I had grand plans of making it nice but I'd rather buy Mustang parts.

Original statement makes a lot more sense.

I put a 1000 miles on a rental Mustang, tried to like it, but in the end wasn’t very fond of it . It wasn’t because it was a rental, it was things like the visibility and seating position . If the cabin had been a little more airy, I think I would have liked it a lot.

I was going to volunteer as a potential buyer - but I had a change of heart

All of the problems are pretty basic E46 things! It’s really a good car for someone who loves E46s and has the knowledge and ability to get it up to snuff. That being said, winter is coming and this will do the job (but so will the Mustang on winter s)

No TCS, no problem.

My e38 had the tcs light on when I bought it. Researched the cause, could have fixed  it, but then decided no TCS was way more fun. I can modulate my own throttle and go sideways on command. Wheee!

Orange corners on a BMW actually take me back to college in the late 90s because these were the de factor sorority girl car at the time. Hey look, amber...hey look, Amber.

if youre still trying to offload it, I’ve been considering the idea of a winter car and stick, e46 330xi ticks a lot of boxes

drop me a line at jpskelly94at gmaildotcom? and maybe we can talk about it?
